The Fond du Lac Area Association of Commerce has announced Melissa
Worthington as the Association’s Vice President. "I
am honored and excited about being selected as the Vice President for the Fond
du Lac Area Association of Commerce,” said Worthington. “I will be joining an effective organization
that plays a critical role in the advancement of the Fond du Lac community. I am eager to get started working with the
board, volunteers and staff to promote business and the community." As
Vice President, Worthington will assist in the direction of all aspects of the Association
and will produce and administer the program of work for Project Forward Fond du
Lac – a division of the Association of Commerce which addresses issues
impacting workforce development, attraction and retention in the Fond du Lac
community. “Melissa
brings with her over 15 years of experience and success in the fields of
marketing, leadership and strategic advancement,” stated Joe Reitemeier,
President and CEO of the Fond du Lac Area Association of Commerce. “We are
pleased to welcome her and to begin building upon the success this Association
has already experienced.” Worthington
previously served as Director of Marketing and Communications at Moraine Park
Technical College where she developed and managed numerous strategic plans and
development initiatives. Her expertise
in creative services, public relations, social media, marketing, advertising
and recruitment added significantly to institutional growth and advancement.
