Republican state senator Rick Gudex of Fond du Lac says he
believes the private school choice program is working well. Senator Gudex made the comments at a town hall meeting
Wednesday at the Fond du Lac Holiday Inn hosted by the Americans for Prosperity Foundation-Wisconsin. "Its not secret that I support school choice. I think that school choice, thus far, has gone very well." The state director of AFPF-Wisconsin says school choice
programs put the power back into the hands of parents and empowers parents and
families with the ability to choose where they are sending their children to
school. Opponents say parents already have that choice and that
expanding vouchers to private schools takes money away from public schools.
