4-26-13 convicted sex offender captured

A suspect that has been at large in the Towns of Kewaskum and Farmington since April 20 has been apprehended.  38 year old Larry Arnold was taken into custody Thursday by the Washington County Sheriff’s Department.  At 8:30 a.m. Thursday, the Sheriff’s Office was called regarding a burglary in the 2400 block of E. Moraine Dr. in the Town of Farmington. A caretaker for the homeowner was checking the home when he observed a door had been kicked in.  When the Deputy arrived at the residence, Arnold fled on foot.  Eventually authorities located him hiding under an old piece of metal in a heavily wooded area and took him into custody without resistance.  Arnold is suspected of breaking into a Town of Kewaskum residence earlier this week and eluding police since Saturday.  The ordeal began when a vehicle belonging to Arnold’s roommate and that Arnold had permission to drive was found abandoned on a snowmobile trail in the northern unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest.  Arnold will face charges stemming from the two residential burglaries and the outstanding warrants from Wood County.
