Gasoline prices in Wisconsin have spiked in the past couple
of weeks. State Triple A spokesperson Pam Moen says the average price
for a gallon of unleaded regular in Wisconsin is now higher than
the national average. "Statewide today in Wisconsin we're averaging $3.67. Compare that to the national average of about $3.51," Moen said. ""What we have seen in the last week is Wisconsin prices jump about 12 cents. Moen says flooding rain in parts of the midwest is being blamed for the price spike
at the pump. She says there are concerns that weather and flooding may disrupt production and supplies. She says gas prices were about 30 cents higher last year at
this time.
