A Fond du Lac resident is being recognized for his heroic
efforts in preventing an apartment fire from getting out of control. Marcus Norfleet will be presented with the Citizen Life
Safety Award during a special ceremony at the Fond du Lac Main Street station Wednesday. Division Chief of Fire Prevention Troy Haase says Norfleet
is receiving the award for his response to a December 20th
apartment fire on Morningside Drive. Haase says Norfleet’s bravery and courage to assist in
evacuation of the eight unit apartment building and extinguish the fire
saved both lives and property damage.
