4-18-14 trial set for belt buckle shooting case

A Fond du lac man charged in connection with a downtown shooting incident  is scheduled to go on trial next month.   William Wilcox is charged with four counts of recklessly endangering safety,  injury by negligient use of a weapon, operating a firearm while intoxicated and resisting.  The case was not resolved at a plea and sentencing hearing Thursday and a five day jury trial is scheduled to begin May 5th.  Wilcox is accused of firing multiple shots following an altercation at bar closing in January in the area of 2nd and Main Streets.   A bystander escaped serious injury when one of the bullets struck him in the belt buckle.    Wilcox is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail on $50,000 cash bail.
