4-18-14 trial set for belt buckle shooting case

A Fond du lac man charged in connection with a downtown shooting incident  is scheduled to go on trial next month.   William Wilcox is charged with four counts of recklessly endangering safety,  injury by negligient use of a weapon, operating a firearm while intoxicated and resisting.  The case was not resolved at a plea and sentencing hearing Thursday and a five day jury trial is scheduled to begin May 5^th.  Wilcox is accused of firing multiple shots following an altercation at bar closing in January in the area of 2^nd and Main Streets.   A bystander escaped serious injury when one of the bullets struck him in the belt buckle.    Wilcox is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail on $50,000 cash bail.
