4-17-14 7 yr old hit by pickup in fox lake

A 7 year old boy was struck by a pickup truck and injured Wednesday at the SAGES school in Fox Lake.  Fox Lake Police Chief Jim Rohr says at a liitle after 3:00 p.m., the boy ran between school buses parked on Depot Street.  The pickup driver was unable to stop and struck the child.  Rohr says the driver was not speeding and could not have avoided the boy.  The boy suffered a compound fracture and was taken to the hospital.
