MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin Department of Revenue is auctioning unclaimed property online for the first time. The auction begins Monday and runs through June 23rd. The Revenue Department says the auction will include collector coins, proof coin sets, collector cards, and jewelry from unclaimed safe deposit boxes. The auctions will be posted on the website WWW DOT WisconsinSurplus DOT com. That site is used by many state agencies and municipalities across the state for auctions. Revenue Secretary Richard Chandler says proceeds from the auctions are deposited into the individual unclaimed property accounts. People can search to see if they or family members have any unclaimed property at WWW Revenue DOT WI DOT gov.
