6-6-14 uw board of regents approves budget
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The University of Wisconsin Board of Regents has approved a budget today that freezes tuition but raises fees and room-and-board costs. The plan freezes tuition for all students for the second straight year. Republican legislators included a mandate in the 2013 to 2015 state budget requiring the system to freeze tuition for two years for resident undergrads, but the regents have extended that freeze to all student groups.
