Fond du Lac fire officials say warmer weather and dry-windy
conditions are increasing the potential for a very active grass-brush
fire season. Fire prevention specialist Troy Haase says residents can
take steps
to minimize the chance of accentally causing an outside fire
this spring. Haase says people need to be careful when discarding cigarettes. Haase says the fire department has added a new tool to its
fire suppression fleet…a six wheel ATV
complete with a water tank, pump and hose to fight fires in fields and other areas where a fire engine cannot access.
