4-7-14 attic fire

On April 6, 2014 at 5:47 PM the Fond du Lac Fire Department was dispatched to smoke in the attic of a house at 70 East Johnson Street.  Upon arrival, fire crews found light smoke in the attic / 3^rd floor of the house. The fire was extinguished quickly, with very little damage.  It appears the fire was accidental in nature and started by careless use of smoking materials.  Alliant Energy was called to the scene to secure the utilities and the Fond du Lac Police Department assisted with scene security.
