4-2-14 oakfield school referendum passes

Smiles all around the Oakfield School District.  Voters approved a six year operations referendum  905 yes votes to 408 no votes.  Superintendent Sue Green says school officials are breathing a collective sigh of relief.  "We are so excited, we are relieved, we are appreciative of all of the folks that got out and really spread the word on how important this vote was,"  Green said.  Green says now its time to move forward.  "Today was a difficult day for all of us and we were sitting on the edge of our seats.  We are thrilled with the numbers."   Green says the future of the district was at stake as well as the identity of the tiny Fond du Lac County community.
