The Washington County Sheriff’s Office
took a 28 year-old West Bend
woman into custody this week as a result of a continuing investigation into a suspected
fatal OWI vehicle crash that happened on January 23rd. The crash occurred near the intersection of County Highway A
and County Trunk M in the Town of Farmington
and resulted in the death of a 70 year-old Cedar Grove man. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene
after he became pinned between his truck and trailer that was rear-ended by the
28 year-old woman. The Sheriff’s Office
has completed its investigation which was confirmed through toxicology testing
of the suspect. The woman is currently
incarcerated at the Washington County Jail and being held without bail on charges
of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle, homicide while operating
with a detectable amount of a restricted controlled substance, operating while
suspended causing death, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana,
and possession drug paraphernalia.
