4-17-14 fdl basement flooding

The Fond du Lac Public Works director says dozens of Fond du lac residents reported basement flooding problems from last weekend’s heavy rain.  Jordan Skiff says the city is still gathering information and assessing how many basements were flooded by sewer back-ups versus failed sump pumps.  "We're still compiling that information.  We've gotten calls from several dozen property owners,"  Skiff told WFDL news.  "I haven't seen the final numbers of how many actually experienced basement back-ups versus concerns with drainage in the yard."    Meanwhile the city is accepting for free flood damaged property at the bulky waste drop off site through this Saturday.
