The Fond du Lac animal shelter manager says one of the
puppies injured when bleach was poured on him should be ready for adoption
in the next few days. Renee Webb
says the puppies continue to improve daily. "The eyes are clear, the ulcers that were in the eyes are gone and the tear ducts are open so we're really happy about that,' Webb told AM 1170 WFDL's Between the Lines program. "The little girl is starting to catch up with her healthy brother and unfortunately the little boy, the vet did notice he had some diminished lung sounds and he does have some scarring on his lungs." Twenty four year old Amada Farr is expected to make her
initial court appearance Tuesday on seven animal cruelty counts. According to a criminal complaint Farr admitted to knowing that her eight year old son poured
bleach on a puppy and tossed it in the trash dumpster but did nothing to stop
it. Two other puppies who were nearby were also injured by the bleach. Webb says the good news is the puppies will be ready for adoption soon. The first puppy could be ready for adoption as early as Monday.
