Nobody was injured in a fire that damaged an apartment unit
in the village of North Fond du Lac. Fire Chief Pat Stephany tells WFDL news on the scene firefighters
were called to the Harrison
Street apartments shortly after 9am Thursday. The apartment complex was evacuated. Other area departments including the Fond du Lac Fire
Department were called to assist.
Stephany says the fire was brought under control in about fifteen minutes and contained to the unit where it started. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. There are 16 units in the apartment complex…located on the northwest side of the village.
