3-6-14 representative ballweg congratulates new majority leader

The Republican caucus chair is congratulating the first female majority leader of the state Assembly.  The Republican caucus this week elected retiring state representative Pat Strachota to the post to replace ousted majority leader Bill Kramer.  Republican state representative Joan Ballweg says she is good friends with Strachota.  Ballweg and Strachota both entered the legislature ten years ago.  "She has served on Jt. Finance for the last couple of terms.  I think she is very dedicated, very educated in the process and really pays good attention to detail,"  Ballweg told AM 1170 WFDL's Between the Lines program.  Kramer was removed as majority leader amid sexual harassment allegations.
