3-6-14 puppies' condition improves

The condition of two puppies injured when bleach was poured on them continues to improve.   Fond du lac animal shelter manager Renee Webb says the eight week old puppies have made tremendous progress since Sunday night when it appeared that one or both of them may not survive.  "We are just so pleased with their progress,"  Webb told WFDL news.  "They continue to eat and drink on their own...playing and just acting so much more like normal puppies."  Police say an eight year old boy poured bleach on the puppy when it
was play-biting.  Some of the bleach spilled on a second puppy.   The boy then placed the first puppy in a plastic bag and tossed it a trash dumpster.  Police says the boy's mother was aware but did not do anything.
The District Attorney’s Office is reviewing the police report  to determine what charges will be filed.
