3-12-14 fdl woman charged in puppy abuse case makes court appearance

A Fond du Lac woman accused of not stopping her eight year old son from pouring bleach an eight week old puppy has made her initial Fond du lac court appearance.  Twenty four year old Amanda Farr is charged
with seven counts related to animal cruelty including one felony charge.  She is free on a $2500 signature bond.  A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 27th.   Police say Farr’s eight year old son poured bleach on a puppy, placed it in a trash bag and threw it in the dumpster because the puppy had been “biting” at his feet.    Bleach was also spilled on two other puppies.  According to a criminal complaint Farr admitted to knowing her son did this but did nothing to stop it or aid the puppies.  Meanwhile, Fond du Lac animal shelter manager Renee Webb says the puppies continue to improve and will be ready for adoption soon.
