3-6-14 fdl woman charged in puppy torture case

A Fond du Lac woman accused of not stopping her eight year old son from torturing an eight week old puppy has been charged.  Twenty four year old Amanda Farr faces seven counts including party to a crime
of  mistreatment of animals, intentionally giving poison to an animal,  animal abandonment,  improper outdoor shelter and disorderly conduct.  Police say Farr’s eight year old son poured bleach on a puppy, placed it in a trash bag and threw it in the dumpster because the puppy had been “biting” at his feet.    Bleach was also spilled on two other puppies.  According to a criminal complaint Farr admitted to knowing her son did
this but did nothing to stop it or aid the puppies. Farr is scheduled to make her initial Fond du Lac court appearance next week.
