3-14-14 tax reform roundtable

The Wisconsin Lieutenant governor says the message received during roundtable discussions across the state is loud and clear…reduce or eliminate  the income tax even if it means raising the sales tax.  Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch and state revenue secretary, Rick Chandler held a roundtable discussion Thursday evening at UW Fond du Lac.  Kleefisch says there are seven states without an income tax and

all have other sources of revenue to make up the difference.  However she says eliminating the income tax by increasing the sales tax is easier said than done.
