3-12-14 fdl councilmember resigns

Fond du lac city councilmember Dan Manning is resigning because of a new job.   Manning says he will be working as an operations management consultant and will be traveling throughout the year. Manning was part of a layoff two months ago of  a dozen salaried employees at Giddings and Lewis where he worked as a manufacturing engineer.  Manning was the first openly gay member on council.  There is still a year left in his term and the council will now begin the process of filling the vacancy.
