3-11-14 dodge county child neglect case

TOWN OF BURNETT, Wis. (AP) — A Dodge County woman who faces child neglect charges after officials say they found her kid in squalid conditions will not be allowed to see them without supervision.
Secoy Koch-Miller made her first court appearance Monday. A judge set bail at $1,000 with a condition that she can't see her children unsupervised.  She was charged last week after authorities said they found her newborn and 2-year-old living among mice and human waste. Medical reports say the toddler was underweight, covered with bug bites, and had spiders in his hair.  The house in the Town of Burnett has been condemned.  The children's grandmother, Betty Koch-Miller denies the kids were neglected. She says they're all moving out of a house that was a bad situation.
