10-15-13 fdl county sherifff's office new hires and promotions

On Thursday, September 5th, Fond du Lac County Sheriff Mylan C. Fink, Jr swore in 4 new deputies. Deputies Tanya Golembeski and Henry Guell began their careers as Correctional Deputies. Deputies Brennan Wagner and Gregory Anderson began their careers as Patrol Deputies.
Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant John T. Toney recently retired after 33 years of service. John began his career in 1980 as a Correctional Officer. Toney held positions of Patrol Deputy and Patrol Sergeant.  Detective Christine Hess retired after 30 years of service. Chris began her career in 1983 as a Correctional Officer. Hess was promoted to Detective in 1993 and was the only female detective in the history of the Sheriff’s office. 
Deputy Eric Halbach has been promoted to the rank of Patrol Sergeant. Eric began his career in 2001 as a Correctional Officer. He was promoted to Patrol Deputy in 2002. Halbach holds a Bachelor of Science – Political Science Degree from UW- Oshkosh. Halbach has been assigned to the 3rd shift.
Deputy Panagiotis "Pete" Vergos has been promoted to Detective. Pete began his career with the Sheriff’s Office in 2008 as a Patrol Deputy. Vergos has a Bachelor’s Degree – Administration of Criminal Justice from Marian College.
