MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A Republican state lawmaker says the University of Wisconsin System's Board of Regents are out of touch for approving large increases in pay scales for certain top positions. State Representative Steve Nass of Whitewater chairs the Assembly's committee on higher education. He blasted the regents on Friday as being fiscally irresponsible.
