SOMERS, Wis. (AP) — New hires for top posts within the University of Wisconsin System could be in line to make some lucrative salaries. The UW System's board of regents approved a new pay plan today. It expands the range of salaries that can be offered to certain new hires. For example, the outgoing UW System president makes $418,000. Under the new plan his replacement could make anywhere from $399,000 to $598,500.
