10-11-13 oshkosh police make arrest in child abduction case

Oshkosh Police have made an arrest in an attempted child abduction case.  Sergeant Becky Kaiser says the incident happened October 5^th in the 1000 block of Weisbrod Street. Three children were playing outside their house that evening when a vehicle stopped at the home.  The 51-year-old male driver told the children to get in his vehicle and he would take them to grandma’s house.  Kaiser says the mother noticed the car outside and when she went out to confront the driver, he drove off.  Kaiser says the individual is charged with three counts of attempted kidnapping and three counts of attempted child abduction.  The police department is continuing the investigation.
