Local law enforcement say it could have been a lot
worse. A 19 year old Fond du Lac man was arrested at gunpoint this week after
allegedly firing multiple shots into the air in the city of Fond du Lac and
village of North Fond du Lac. Mason Paasch is expected to make his initial court
appearance this week on charges of
recklessly endangering safety, carrying a concealed weapon and operating a firearm while intoxicated. Fond du Lac Assistant Police chief Steve Klein says Paasch
was intoxicated when he got into a fight outside a house on Glenwood Drive and fired a couple of shots into the air using a handgun Klein says Paasch later fired an assault rifle in the
village of North Fond du Lac. Klein says "Its very fortunate that nobody was hurt anytime you have an individual that is indiscriminately firing off rounds. This individual appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and possibly some other substances," Klein told AM 1170 WFDL's Between the Lines program.
