10-11-13 oshkosh strong armed robbery arrests



Oshkosh Police have arrested two individuals in connection with a strong-armed robbery this week.  Officer Joseph Nichols says a 23-year-old Oshkosh man and 17-year-old Kenosha man were taken into custody Tuesday evening for the incident that occurred in the 1400 block of Oregon Street Monday.  An 18-year-old man reported he was attacked early that morning and had his cell phone and wallet taken.  Nichols says the two were arrested during a traffic stop and a subsequent search warrant was conducted at the residence of the 23 year old.  Police found items that were taken during the robbery.  The 23-year-old is facing charges of robbery, receiving stolen property and possession of marijuana.  The 17-year-old male is facing a charge of party to the crime of robbery.  Both individuals were taken to the Winnebago County Jail.
