All-terrain and utility-terrain vehicle operators are urged
to operate with safety as their highest priority following another ATV
fatality in Wisconsin. The
death of an ATV operator on a state trail in Sawyer County pushed Wisconsin’s total ATV-UTV user fatalities to
18 this year. Conservation Warden Todd Schaller tells WFDL news the death total is
the highest since 2009. Schaller says the victims have ranged in ages nine to
77. The majority were not wearing a helmet and roughly half had alcohol as a
possible factor:
