After sitting vacant for about a decade…a prominent parcel
of land in Fond du Lac has a new tenant. Fond du Lac planner JoEllyn Dahlin says a gas station convenience center is planned for the
southwest corner of North Main Street and West Johnson Street…the site of a
former Walgreens store. Dahlin says starting next March the vacant building will be
demolished to make way for a new Kwik Trip. Dahlin says a special use permit requirement for the
property location within the wellhead protection overlay district is to
protect the municipal water supply and well fields. The Fond du lac Plan commission will take up the special use
permit request at their meeting Monday evening.
