9-9-13 fdl council finalists narrowed to two

The list finalists for a vacancy on the Fond du lac city council has been narrowed to two.  After interviewing six finalists Friday night the council chose to ask two candidates, Brian Kolstad and Brian Foster back for second interviews.  City council president Sam Meyer says those interviews will be held Monday at 5:30pm and 6pm in meeting room H at the city-county government center.
Foster is the warden at Kettle Moraine Correctional Institution and former councilmember and mayor of a small town in Iowa.  Kolstad is a photographer and works at an Internet website firm.  The council is expected to officially appoint a new council member at their meeting on Wednesday.  The new councilmember will be sworn into office at the September 25th council meeting.  The vacancy was created when Rob VandeZande resigned due to a family medical issue.
