9-13-13 fdl area united way launches fundraising campaign

The Fond du Lac Area United Way fundraising campaign is underway.  A campaign kick-off breakfast was held Thursday morning.  United Way director Tina Potter says this year’s goal is $740,000.  Potter says $140,000 has been raised right off the bat.  Potter says she is impressed with the way the community comes together to help those served by the United Way member agencies.  This year’s pace setters are Holiday Automotive and Giddings and Lewis.  Holiday president Mike Shannon is this year’s honorary chairman.
