9-10-13 dairy farms-climate change study

PRAIRIE DU SAC, Wis. (AP) — Researchers in the northern U.S. from New York to Wisconsin are starting a series of studies that will help dairy farmers better adapt to climate change and reduce the impact their farms have on the environment. The work is being funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and is one of four projects looking at farming and climate change. The $10 million dairy project is being led by the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
