8-6-13 hartford burglary suspect arrested

Hartford police arrested a man early Thursday morning suspected of burglarizing a residence in the 500 block of Loos Street .  According to the Hartford Police Department, the homeowner noticed that while he was taking his dog out, the door to his garage was open.  The resident watched as the door slowly closed from the inside of the dark garage.  The homeowner contacted authorities, who responded and found a 34 year old Hartford man, armed with six knives, hiding behind the door.  Officers took the man, a convicted felon, into custody at gunpoint.  Charges of armed burglary, possession of burglary tools, carrying concealed weapons, and drug violations have been forwarded to the Washington County District Attorney’s Office.
