The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is holding a
series of public hearings to discuss the conversion of Highway 41 from a U.S.
Highway to an Interstate. A
public hearing on the conversion was
held Wednesday night at the UW Fond du lac. DOT spokesman Kim Rudat says replacing the highway signs
along 41 from the green-colored U.S. Highway to blue Interstate signs is not inexepensive. Rudat says the estimated cost is $8 million.
