The Fond du Lac County Highway Commission is expected to go on record in support of the Highway 23 expansion project between Plymouth and Fond du Lac. Highway Commissioner Tom Jahnke says the commission will consider a resolution in support of the project at their meeting Thursday. Jahnke says the project is important for the area and the
state and says he says he was
pleased to see the DOT restore the project start date to 2015. Jahnke says he disagrees with the group 1000 Friends of
Wisconsin who argue lower traffic counts show only passing lanes are
needed. "This particular segment, in my opinion, is a very dangerous segment," Jahnke told WFDL news. "Four-way highway is the way to do it."
