Following a heroin
summit in Fond du Lac in March and another in Lomira last month…Waupun is hosting a heroin summit Thursday evening. Police Chief Dale Heeringa says the summit will be held at 6:30pm at the Waupun High School. Heeringa says heroin is impacting communities large and small across the state.
Heeringa says a big concern for smaller communities like
Waupun is access to treatment for heroin addicts.
Dodge County Sheriff Pat Ninmann says several inmates in the
Dodge County Jail are on round the clock watch for heroin withdrawal.
