The Fond du Lac school superintendent says the new high school principal set herself apart from the other candidates by her ability to build relationships and her strong instructional leadership skills. Current high school assistant principal, Michelle Hagen was selected out of a field of 21 candidates. Superintendent, Dr. Jim Sebert, says Hagen and three other applicants were interviewed for the post. "I would say its her ability to build relationships. Once you get a chance to meet her, she's very engaging, she's very caring and genuine in the way she approaches kids," Sebert said. Hagen will replace John Wiltzius who is resigning his post
to run a campground.
