The public has a chance to get rid of outdated, unwanted
electronics this weekend.
Mercury Marine is hosting an electronics recycling event Saturday in the parking lot of the Merc Marine museum at 75 West Scott Street. Event organizer Dave Schecher says most items will be
accepted free of charge. Items such as televisions and monitors and wood speakers
will be accepted for a small fee.
Florescent lights, items containing PCBs and other hazardous materials will not be accepted. The event runs from 8am to noon. If you drop of recyclable electronics you will receive a
free museum pass.
