5-13-14 wisconsin storms

MILWAUKEE (AP) — The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory in southeastern Wisconsin, saying torrential rainfall could cause urban areas and small streams to flood.  The weather service says Milwaukee and surrounding areas could see thunderstorms produce 1 to 2 inches of rain per hour on Monday afternoon.  A flash flood warning covers Milwaukee and its suburbs. The weather service is warning people to seek higher ground and not to drive through flooded areas. It says most flood deaths occur in vehicles.  The flood advisory extends farther west into Dane County, southeast of Madison, and south to Janesville.  Western Wisconsin remains under a flood watch with more storms expected Monday afternoon and evening. La Crosse received about three-quarters of an inch overnight while areas east got an inch or more.
