4-4-14 truck explodes

HOWARD, Wis. (AP) — One person is dead and another injured after a truck exploded near an industrial park in eastern Wisconsin.  According to the Brown County Sheriff's Office, the box style truck slowed to turn into a driveway in the village of Howard at about 1:25 p.m. Thursday when the load shifted forward, pierced a fuel tank and caused the truck to explode.  In a news release, Lt. Kevin Wickman said the male driver died at the scene. A male passenger was thrown from the vehicle and taken to an area hospital with critical injuries.  Some of the nearby businesses were evacuated or employees asked to take cover while rescue crews looked into leaking fuels and removed the injured passenger.
