2-6-14 proposal to eliminate state treasurer office
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin state treasurer position would be eliminated under a constitutional amendment that's headed for a vote in the state Assembly yesterday. The Republican-sponsored measure originally sought to eliminate both the treasurer and secretary of state offices. But it's been amended to only eliminate the treasurer's office.
