A Janitor in the Oakfield school district is accused of
stealing money from the junior-senior high school. Forty seven year old Mark Hoffman made hs initial Fond du lac court appearance Thursday on two
counts of burglary and two counts of
theft. According to a criminal
complaint the principal set up a camera in the vault
after noticing money missing on several occasions. According to the complaint Hoffman was captured on the
camera entering the vault, wearing a hooded sweatshirt that covered his head
and face. Hoffman later admitted to stealing money over
the last month from 10 straight sporting events at the school. Hoffman is free on a $2500 signature
bond. A preliminary hearing
is scheduled for March 14th.
