2-12-14 fdl police officer receives administrative suspension

A Fond du Lac police officer involved in a crash with another police squad car last fall has been suspended following an investigation.   Officer Melissa Sprangers received an administrative suspension based on results of an investigation into the crash.  The Nov. 1  crash at the intersection of Western Avenue and Macy Street injured Sprangers and officer Kristen Kachelmeier.   The officers were treated at the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.  The officers were responding .to a call when the crash occurred.  The collision resulted in damage to both squad cars, a light pole and a legally parked car.
