10-10-13 mobile broadband app

Fond du Lac county residents are encouraged to download a free cell phone app to test mobile wireless broadband access and performance.   Fond du Lac County Economic Development Corporation director of business intelligience, Jo Ann Giese-Kent says residents across the state are volunteering to run the app so LinkWisconsin can analyze coverage and speed problems in all neighborhoods.  Giese kent says downloading the app uses only a small portion of your data plan each month and ensures your neighborhood is tested.  She says the value of the testing program increases as the number of users grows.  The more local tests performed, the better the maps and analysis will be.
