A National Weather Service meteorologist says Fond du Lac County really did dodge a bullet this week when severe
weather including tornadoes stayed north. Meteorologist Morgan Brooks says earlier in the day it appeared likely that the storms
that spawned three tornadoes in Waupaca, Outagamie and Brown
counties was taking direct aim
on Winnebago, Fond du Lac and Dodge counties. "We kind of anticipated it (storm) diving a little more south than it did," Brooks told WFDL news. "But for the most part it stayed up in Green Bay's area." Brooks says given the fact that the tornadoes touched down
in the middle of the night she is surprised there weren’t more injuries or even deaths.
