8-8-13 fdl man accused of setting his mother's home on fire

A Fond du Lac man is accused of setting fire to his mother’s home after she had earlier  kicked him out of the house.  Thirty three year old  Timothy Schneider is charged with arson of a building and burglary.   According to a criminal complaint Schneider was drunk when he broke into his mom’s house at 352 3^rd Street last Friday afternoon.  Fire Chief Pete O’Leary says investigators believe gasoline was used to start the blaze.  "We had received reports that witnesses saw what they believed was an individual with a gas can going into the residence,"  O'Leary told WFDL news.  Bail was set at $50,000 cash.  A preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 16^th.
