A motorcyclist received what were described as non
life-threatening injuries when he collided with a car and got pinned
underneath the bike and vehicle. Rescue personnel were called to the scene Wednesday
afternoon on the West Frontage Road
near Walmart in Fond du lac. Fire chief Pete O’Leary says rescue personnel used
extrication air bags to lift the vehicles up and pull the victim to safety. "We couldn't just lift the bike off him and we couldn't just back up the car because we were afraid that since they came in contact they may have been tangled up together," O'Leary told WFDL news. "...so we used air bags, these airbags we use for extrication. We got underneath the automobile and motorcycle and were able to lift it up just enough so we could pull the guy out."
