8-6-13 plane crash in waushara county
The
pilot of a private aircraft is injured after the plane crashes in Waushara
County. Waushara County Sheriff
David Peterson says their office received notification around 11 a.m. Saturday
that a pilot had been taken to Wild Rose Hospital after his plane crashed. The Amateur-built 2006 Tornado I went
down near 19th road, southwest of the Wild Rose Airport, in the Town
of Springwater. The operator,
57-year-old Gerald W. Reusch of rural Neshkoro, was later transferred to Theda
Clark Medical Center in Neenah for treatment of unknown injuries. Initial investigation by the FAA
indicates the cause may have been an engine malfunction. The crash remains under
investigation.
